LADIES OPEN SCALLOP SPIEL
The Ladies Open Scallop Spiel, organized by the Day Ladies, has continued to be a fun and competitive event since its inception in 2010. Women’s teams throughout the province join us in Lunenburg for a one day bonspiel held on the second Saturday in November. The time between their three six-end games is filled with food, activities, and the chance to socialize and get reacquainted with returning team members. The day ends with appetizers, the results of the silent auction, and the presentation of prizes.
The dedication of the Day Ladies involved in organizing and running this event, along with the support of our sponsors and members, has contributed to the hugh success of the Ladies Open Scallop Spiel. It has become a great fundraiser for our club.

The 11th Annual Scallop Spiel
Our 11th Annual Scallop Spiel held on Saturday, November 12, 2022 was a great success. It was great to be able to host this event after a two year hiatus. We were so glad to see so many returning teams and to welcome a new team from Dartmouth. It was a day for renewing old friendships, making new friendships as well as enjoying good food and great curling.
We would like to thank our generous sponsors, donors, The Day Ladies, The LCC Masters, Wayne Cleveland and so many more who helped to raise over $4,000 for our club.
The proceeds of the 50/50 Draw of $127.00 have been given to Lori Eddy, daughter of Russell Mossman for the CNIB.
The winning team with 50 points was Dory Plugs, Lunenburg Curling Club, skipped by Wendy Mayo, with team mates, Calee Blanchard, Kim Hanlon, Ashlee Feener and Becky Nodding.
