Once again it is hard to believe that fall is here and that we will be curling shortly. We are scheduled to open on Monday October 27th.

Our semi-annual meeting is set for Thursday October 23rd.

 

This year’s schedule of events includes the Scallop Spiel, Business Spiel, Doubles Tournament, the Mayo Memorial Stick Championship, Crib & Curling and of course the Stephen Rhodenizer Club Championship.

 

After 25 years of Curl for a Cause, we're excited to introduce Curl for Fishermen’s, a fresh chapter in our community curling tradition. While this event may be smaller in scale than

its predecessor, 100% of all donations will go directly to Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital, supporting vital care close to home!

This 24-team event will take place February 27th to March 1st with the 24 teams that participated last year being given the first opportunity to enter this year. Any open spots after that will be filled from the waiting list. If you are interested in putting a team on the waiting list, please contact Al MacIntyre at ademac@eastlink.ca .

 

We will again be having our Learn to Curl Program so if you know anyone who is interested in taking up our game, please encourage them to take this course.

Also, at some point this year we hope to install new cameras and TVs for the ice shed and club room.

The cameras and TVs are generously being donated by our Junior Program so a big

thanks to them for this – this will enhance the behind the glass viewing for members and guests alike for years to come!
